Sixty-two homes revamped in one day!
Insurance Center of New England had the privilege to sponsor the clean up of one of the homes in the Old Hill neighborhood in Springfield, MA owned by 98 year old Mr. Lewis. Our own Dave Farwell was a team leader and aided in sprucing up the yard of Mr. Lewis. The team raked, mulched, planted flowers, removed dozens of bags of leaves and debris, and also made a repair to the porch which will allow Mr. Lewis to use the space to grill which he was most thrilled about!
The 4th Annual GreenNFit Neighborhood Block Rebuild along with its estimated 1,500 volunteers took on rehab of sixty-two homes this past Saturday. Many improvements to the homes included new roofs, installing energy-efficient windows, doors and appliances, interior and exterior painting, modifications for handicap accessibility, and much more according to Revitalize CDC.
This year was HUB International’s first year participating in the rebuild project, but certainly will not be the last.
Revitalize CDC, founded in 1992, performs critical repairs, modifications and rehabilitation on the homes and non-profit facilities of low-income families with children, the elderly, military veterans and people with disabilities.
